Check

Treating all courses as equal weight regardless of credits
Including pass/fail courses in the calculation

Example

Three 3-credit courses: A (4. 0), B+ (3. 3), A- (3. 7) → GPA 3. 67

Formula

GPA = Σ(Grade Points × Credits) / ΣCredits

Each grade is converted to points (A=4. 0, B=3. 0 etc. ), multiplied by course credits, summed, and divided by total credits.

Some schools use +/– modifiers (+0. 3, –0. 3)

FAQ

Do pass/fail courses affect GPA?

Usually not, unless the school assigns a numeric value to pass/fail.

Can retaking a course improve GPA?

Yes, but policies vary: some replace the old grade, others average them.
